The month started in the way every month should: with a Killers gig. Amazing. I have waited so many years to see these guys and I was in no way disappointed. I felt pretty lucky to see them before Brandon lost his voice, such a shame for everyone who had to re-schedule. Barely any wardrobe purchases this month as I'm saving for Christmas, but was certainly lusting after this Marks & Spencer's parka! Hopefully it'll be in the sale soon, and I can tuck it away for next winter. November always means the re-stocking of the 'seasonal' aisle in Tesco, and was so excited to see Cadbury Wishes back in stock: these will forever remind me of my last year at university, sitting in the library late into the night writing my dissertation and munching on these. Finally, November brought with it my Christmas job at Paperchase which meant walking through Nottingham city centre every other day, unable to avoid the Christmas market and ever-tempting food stalls! I love Christmas and can't wait for all the Instagram photos December will bring...

So hopefully this will become a regular Friday feature! I've been a member of Fashionlista for ages, but have started to use it properly just recently! I love finding new things through it! Sadly, a lot of it is wayyyy out of my budget, but there are some pretty great finds from small and independent stores scattered throughout. Here are my favourite finds of this week...

I've just started my Christmas job at quirky stationers Paperchase and couldn't resist making a mental wish-list of all the items in the Castello range. Perfectly on trend for cosy and colourful tartan prints and textures shown on the catwalks for A/W 2012. When my staff discount day comes around my first purchase will definitely be the hot water bottle for only £8.00!

After a recent twitter follow, I have discovered this adorable online accessory store, Izzy In The Sky. I am so tempted to buy almost everything! So instead I've listed my top 3 items to buy to keep on trend but still unique!
Knotted Tye Dye Headband
Once a hippy stereotype, tie-dye is a huge trend at the moment, and this is the perfect accessory to embrace it if you don't feel like going all-out with homemade t-shirts and leggings. As Izzy make them all by hand, every batch is different!
Knitted Glitter Sweetheart Dickie Bow Necklace
If this is not the most adorable thing I have ever seen, I don't know what is! So innovative, I've never seen this design before! Knit has come back into fashion in a big way recently, so why shouldn't the accessory market have a bite! This would look cute with a simple shift dress or a strapless sweetheart neckline.
Turquoise Cross Bead Necklace
(Available in gold and silver)
A small nod to the 'belief' styles popular this season, and a great mix of on-trend colours, gold and turquoise. All your friends will be asking where you got this from!

It's hard to go wrong with black and white, no matter your shape, height, skin colour or style, B&W will always be the most timeless colour combination. Whether it makes you think 50's Chanel or 60's Mod, both are ultimate vintage looks to accommodate in your wardrobe!
For this style challenge I'm going for a 50's Chanel inspired day to evening look.
For this challenge I must use the below cross-body bag.
Smoke and Mirrors Purse by Shiraleah
To create the desired 50's Chanel day-look, go for a simple, fitted, knee-length dress like this sweetheart dress with on-trend peplum design.
Peplum Pudding Dress in Navy
Now, the weather isn't always on our side, so twin this dress with a Chanel inspired boucle and leather biker jacket, for a grungey yet sophisticated edge.
CO-ORD BOUCLE BIKER JACKET
Just throw the Smoke and Mirrors purse over your shoulder and you're ready to go!
If you're wanting to take the look through to the evening, loose the jacket and add some accessories:
Double Bow Belt
Rhinestone Chandelier Earrings
PAPARAZZI METALLIC TOE-CAP SHOES
Twin white patent heels with a cute belt to emphasize your waist and drop earrings to elongate your neck. This is the perfect look for a night out dancing, or just cocktails with the girls. The Smoke and Mirrors bag is the perfect size for all your party essentials, but small enough not to get in the way on the dance floor!

It's no surprise that after Lady GaGa herself predicted that mint green was going to be popular this Spring/Summer 2012 season, it is the colour to be seen in. Here's a few ways to incorporate mint green into your wardrobe, whatever your style may be!
For a look fit for the olympics, twin pastel mint jeans with a sporty union jack bralet and neon accessories to achieve a fun and fashion forward style.
MOTO SUPERSOFT LEIGH JEANS
MOTO FLORAL UNION JACK BRALET
Faceted Stretchy Bracelet
No need to go over the top with Hello Kitty to achieve a casual grunge look with a cute edge.
KNITTED SLOUCHY SWEATER
WET LOOK LEGGINGS
Floral Cross Charm Necklace
Pretty In Mint
A girly 50's look is bang on trend and pastel shades always bring out natural beauty.
